Peru is an extremely biodiverse country with habitats ranging from arid temperatures to the Andes mountains vertically extending from the north to the southeast of the country to the tropical Amazon Basin rainforest in the east with the Amazon river.Over the course of the slave trade, approximately 95,000 slaves were brought into Peru, with the last group arriving in 1850.
